Momenta, the Industrial Impact® venture capital firm, has led a seed funding round in Foresight AI Limited. This UK-based company offers an AI-driven platform that helps utilities predict failures before they happen, reducing leaks, optimizing field operations, and minimizing service disruptions. The company’s integrated platform combines three top-tier core modules to provide complete network visibility and smart asset management. The funding marks the formal launch of Foresight AI following the acquisition of the technology, IP, and platform assets of Datatecnics Corporation.

Tackling a Global Challenge with Emerging AI Technologies

Utilities worldwide face increasing pressure to upgrade aging infrastructure, reduce water loss, and meet growing demand despite limited data and fragmented systems. Water loss remains a costly and urgent issue; without clear visibility into asset performance, utilities struggle to take proactive measures.

Foresight AI’s platform bridges this vital gap by leveraging advanced machine learning and finite element analysis models founded on 8 years of academic research and in collaboration with key Water utilities. Suhayl is joined by Dr. Ramiz Beig Zali, Principal Water Systems Modeler and Lead Data Scientist, a civil engineer and hydro-informatics researcher with a PhD from the University of Exeter and Leak Full Stack Engineer, Joel Brittain, who has previously held software development positions at Affinity Water and with the UK Government.

The funding will accelerate Foresight AI’s expansion from its current UK customer base into international markets, including Europe, North America, the GCC, Singapore, and Australasia, representing a $1.2 billion annual revenue opportunity across more than 800 water utilities.
